UNICEF – United Nations Children’s Fund

This NGO needs no introduction. Head quartered at New York is an NGO that provides long-term humanitarian and developmental assistance to children and mothers in developing countries. It is one of the members of the United Nations Development Group and its Executive Committee. UNICEF was created by the United Nations General Assembly , to provide emergency food and healthcare to children in countries that had been devastated by World War II. In a few years UNICEF became a permanent part of the United Nations System and its name was shortened from the original United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund but it has continued to be known by the popular acronym based on this previous title.

Projects sponsored by UNESCO include literacy, technical, and teacher-training programmes; international science programmes; the promotion of independent media and freedom of the press; regional and cultural history projects; the promotion of cultural diversity; translations of world literature; international cooperation agreements to secure the world cultural and natural heritage (World Heritage Sites) and to preserve human rights, and attempts to bridge the worldwide digital divide. It is also a member of the United Nations Development Group.


SAVE THE GIRL CHILD - is a campaign in India to end the gender-selective abortion of female foetuses, which has skewed the population towards a significant under-representation of girls in some Indian states. The "Beti Bachao" campaign is supported by IBSAMS through various human rights groups, non-governmental organizations, and state and local government in India.


Every child has a right to full time elementary education of satisfactory and equitable quality in a formal school which satisfies certain essential norms and standards. To promote this cause IBSAMS joins hands with CRY. ‘Child rights and you’ or CRY is an NGO in India working for children and their rights. CRY has undertaken a lot of initiatives to improve the condition of underprivileged children and one of them is the ‘Chotte Kadam-Pragati ki Aur’, a literacy drive that has reached out to more than 35000 children in 10 states of India. ‘Mission Education’ is another very popular campaign from CRY to make sure that ‘education is every child’s right’ and that proper education reaches to more children in every new academic year.


This is a Mumbai – based non-profit trust, recognised by the Animal Welfare Board of India, working to eradicate rabies and control the street-dog population in a humane, scientific way. The W.S.D conducts programs in Mass Sterilisation, Rabies Eradication, Healthcare, Adoption, Education and Awareness.


PANJRAPOL / MADHAVBAUG PANJRAPOL – is a 176 year old charitable trust and non-profit institution dedicated to looking after 350 cows and other stray animals. The aim of the Panjrapol is to nurture and care for birds and animals in distress and protects these strays from ending up at slaughter houses or being tranquilised.


A non-profit, government recognized and registered NGO working for rescue, rehabilitation and repatriation of victims for human trafficking from different parts of India, Nepal & Bangladesh and sold for forced prostitution. Over a period of last eight years, they have achieved the organizational capabilities and experience to fulfil their duties to this most neglected segment of our society.


A registered NGO charitable trust which has been fully devoted to patients suffering from kidney failure, liver ailments and Cancer. Their mission is to support patients suffering from this critical illness especially, kidney failure and disorder, by providing them quality treatment at a nominal cost. They also provide dialysis at subsidized charges, discounts on medicines and injections, conducts health check-up camps and kidney check-up camps for early detection of kidney diseases


The Tata Memorial Centre is the national comprehensive cancer centre for the prevention, treatment, education and research in Cancer and is recognized as one of the leading cancer centres in the world. The hospital claims to treat and cure 99% patients suffering from acute lymphoblastic leukaemia.


An NGO, presently, engaged in providing free accommodation, ration, medicine and an inspiring living environment to poor children undergoing cancer treatment. Every month, thousands of cancer patients come to this city to receive treatment in aided hospitals. These patients travel great distance, often mortgaging their homes and fields in the hope of finding the best possible cancer treatment at charitable cost. As treatments stretch from days to months these families are sometimes forced to live on the streets, fending for themselves in menial ways. Access Life has launched a Patient Care Centre that not only provides to free accommodation but also strives to make their stay memorable with fun-filled activities and ambiance.
